Yellow Butterfly

from €35.00

The Yellow Butterfly came to us as a tunder, from a serene and blue sky. Who knew

a delicate and vulnerable creature could give us a feeling of something steady and

powerful. Like some changes in life are sudden and radical, others are graduals and

almost invisible.

Yellow Butterfly is a collection of portraits made across countries and over years, yet the people, the rooms, and the gestures are bound together by a quiet mutation - an ongoing shifting of form and feeling. Like the butterfly itself, the work invites us to see transformation not as a moment, but as a continuous state: subtle, slow, sometimes invisible, but always alive beneath the surface.

At the end of the book, there is a poem in Danish and translated in English by Katharina Fredslund.

In Yellow Butterfly, the borders between self and other, body and space, presence and absence blur. In Katharina’s writing, these borders dissolve even further, reminding us that to be human is to be in constant transformation—fragile, fleeting, and yet profoundly connected.
